  • How Time Flies

    Wow!

Almost six months since moving and starting my new job. I can't believe it. I have learned my job and moved into a desk job with more responsibilities/pay and now learning that. Doing very well if I do say so myself. I am happy with my job and my place of living, the only thing I could wish for would be a compatible full time companion. I could not bring myself to get another dog after my Harriet died but I do now have a cat and we are adjusting to one another. So I am not completely alone anymore. I have him to greet me when I walk in. It's pretty cool of him too.

I have met some wonderful people at work and working on meeting men and women outside of work. Met a man online and have been dating for almost 3 months. A really nice guy but too many problems for me so we're trying to be friends. I have found a few clubs to go dancing at and was invited to hear a particular band play, at a different club, by the keyboardist, going there this weekend.

Spring is trying very hard to come out in full bloom in Tacoma but the rain keeps getting in the way. Hoping to go motorcycle riding Wednesday. I have spring fever!!!

  • Today is the first day of my on the job training as a health care security officer in the Franciscan Health care system in Tacoma WA. Went through job training with my primary employer and then Orientation and another week of training in a classroom now the ojt. This saturday I take cpr class and then start my regular shift on the following wednesday.

Haven't found an apt yet but waiting to hear back on one today. It's driving me crazy not to have my own space with my stuff around me. Sharing an apt with a controling nit-picking person is wearing thin on me and I just need to get out, just holding my tongue so we don't flare up and have a drag out arguement. Friendship isn't worth it. We'll be fine once I have a place to move to.

I bought new living room furniture and a dinette set that is in my storage unit until I get my apartment. Bought my friend a "snuggler" recliner so she can have more space when sitting with her grandaughter. It was the least I could do for her, letting me stay in her apt especially after the 14 day limit. But my furniture is just lovely and I can't wait to see it in an apt with me on it and making use of it.

  • Moving

    I sold my home!

Last week I went to Tacoma, WA to visit a friend. While there I was contacted about a job. I went for the interview on Fri was basically hired, went for a second interview on Sat with the regional manager, was really hired, and found an apartment on Monday. Came home to Oregon and signed the papers on the house and will be moving this weekend. What a snowball going downhill trip this has been. I brought my friend home with me to help pack what hadn't done but it seems I'm still doing all the packing. She spends my time on the computer playing games and it drives me nuts. If she wanted to do that she could have stayed home. But this all come out of me from stress. She needed to get out of her town for a much needed break. She has not been well and is doing better. She is giving me support and we have been talking about alot of things and working through old issues we each had in our lives. So this is a good visit for both of us.

About Me

  • I am a healthcare security officer, living in Washington, USA. I sold my home in Oregon and am now back in Washington where I grew up. Oregon was fine but the ex is living there and it's too close in proximity for me, so I left. I used to keep full blood Coopworth sheep. From the wool I hand spun yarn and created items of clothing to wear. I believe in the supreme being God Almighty.
